The sooner the better! Many of our parents have found it beneficial to start their child in younger years – particularly Year 9/10 to help prepare them for GCSE exam year. However, we work with all year groups – Year 7 upwards to help develop and build on those basic English & maths skills right from the start.
Online lessons are not that different from offline lessons at all; the tutor is ‘face-to-face’, just on a screen rather than sat next to the student. A video conferencing platform will be used (Zoom) so that student and tutor can see and hear each other. An online, interactive whiteboard takes main stage on the screen, (Shared Word doc/ Google Docs)
Resources are uploaded onto the whiteboard and both parties can edit and annotate in real time, as you would write on a piece of paper. We can share resources easily and always send copies after each lesson.
Yes of course. We can set homework (depending on parent preference of course) but we also can support with students’ homework should they need it. Many older students prefer this as it gives them the confidence to know they are working out of school effectively as well.
We have a clear and simple invoicing process. Each week a reminder of your child’s lesson will be sent along with that week’s invoice with an easy clickable payment link. Should you wish to pay termly then we can easily arrange that too.
After each lesson, we will always follow up with parents to give detailed feedback about how the lesson has been and to discuss any development needs or homework set. Should you wish to have more detailed feedback then a mutually convenient time can be found to arrange a call to discuss further.
